Geraniums and Pelargoniums
Few thing conjure up memories of a long hot summer quite the same as a geranium. All are easy to grow and will flower over a long period. They
are also about the best plants available if we get a long hot summer.
Regal and zonal varieties are the traditional upright varieties. They look good in a tub on the patio or in the conservatory. Some of the zonal varieties can also be planted in the
garden.
Fireworks are similar to the zonals with flowers that look like an exploding firework.
Ivy or trailing geraniums are the type often seen in the window boxes of tyrollean houses in the summer. They will also look great trailing over
the edge of a hanging basket.
Bedding geraniums are seed raised zonal varieties. They won't grow as large as their cutting raised cousins but they provide better value when you want something to bed out in the garden. These are available in bedding packs or as budget priced plugs ready to be potted and grown on.
